Job Summary

As a Project Controller, you will manage detailed specification of each aircraft type and version effectively and the relevant costs of Aircraft and Cabin Customisation. Coordinate delivery process of new aircraft from Boeing, Airbus and leased aircraft from leasing companies.

In this role, you will:

  • Update and distribute internally the Fleet Matrix and Maintain individual database with detailed contractual and add-on specification features (BFE, BCs SCNs) selected for each aircraft project, including maintenance of cost summaries. Keeping records of individual aircraft cost and feature summary extracts for Management Information and cross-referencing allocated budgets.
  • Prepare the Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) lists per aircrafts and distribute to all relevant stake holders. Coordinate with Delivery Managers and Review the BFE deliverables to identify any odd discrepancies.
  • Carry out financial cost analysis/ impact of aircraft customization e.g., cost of money, Net Present Value (NPV), escalation factor. Aircraft invoicing verification of additional & contractual specification features approved for production aircraft. Including Analysis of cost of customization and comparison between different aircraft within same type of fleet or similar feature on other fleet type based on dollar year.
  • Provide support to cabin/ In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) engineer through maintaining proper track records of changes, cost evolution and history of complex change request during development of specification and customization in coordination with airframe manufacturers.
  • Prepare comparative technical analysis of aircraft customization features documents for ongoing projects, for VP-Engineering Projects and Project Managers. Use the e-workflow system EASE developed to replace the manual system.
  • Prepare delivery plan and necessary changes based on Aircraft delays from the production line.
    Coordinate with Delivery Managers and act as Engineering Focal for all related activities for New Aircraft Delivery Phase-in Liaison with Base maintenance, line maintenance, ARC, Maintenance Control Centre (MCC), Senior Manager Network Control (SMNC), Flight Operation Technical, Sky cargo and IFS prior and during delivery of each aircraft for smooth entry into service through issue of Technical Delivery / Acceptance program & Agenda.
  • Plan resources within projects administration team to support the department. This includes arranging meetings and conferences, travel arrangements and submission of claims and various miscellaneous claims processed through the department.
  • Lead a team of technical officers and administration staff to support the department by overseeing their work responsibilities, daily activities and manage their Performance Reviews through MyBC. Develop Training plan and continuously monitor progress.
  • Evaluate and prepare budget for Departmental IT requirements and co-ordinate IT support for software and hardware requirements.

Qualification

To be considered in this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Engineering or Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in Engineering Projects
  • Good computer skills and knowledge
  • Knowledge of Aircraft types, Emirates layout and features and Engineering activities.
  • Experience in Technical Services or Project functions.
  • Knowledge of Aircraft customization process and new aircraft delivery requirement.
  • Ability to analyse technical information related to Aircraft cabin, IFE, Avionics and systems related to aircraft type operated by Emirates.
