Job Summary

• In Charge of purchasing for Raw Material, Ingredients and Packaging, including importation from overseas.
• Responsible for contract negotiations with suppliers
• To provide the accurate information to financial department to secure the PO paperwork process as well as the manufacturing cost calculation.
• To provide the accurate information to R/D department to comment/secure the raw material sourcing in the new projects.
• Will liaise with QA to guarantee that our suppliers will meet our technical specification expectations
• Will liaise on a daily base with the logistic supervisor to guarantee the raw material and ingredients deliveries without any production shortage
• To keep up to date the purchasing price in the relevant spreadsheet
• To keep up to date the raw material, ingredient and packaging codification

Required Skills

• MUST HAVE FOOD EXPERIENCE! Slaughter house purchasing a plus!
• Expert knowledge of Authority Certifications and Regulations (USDA, FDA, EU, HACCP, ISO, GMP)
• Knowledge in the purchasing procedure of Poultry backs and frames.
• Proficient knowledge of Agricultural industry to identify and act to anticipated increases with different Agricultural commodities
• Specialized in Implementation of strategic positioning for raw material animal by products and key ingredients sourcing by combining domestic and imported materials to ensure availability and price
• Professional and skilled at Management of importation & exportation of both animal proteins and acquiring ingredients required with Import Permits
• Certified Auditor for processes and regulations for food and feed industry
• Tactical and strategic planner of transportation logistics
• Exceptional understanding of process equipment and application related to Pet Food (Dryers, Blenders, Heat Exchangers, Boilers, Chippers, Reactors, Centrifuges, Evisceration systems, Animal By Product harvest, Refrigeration)
• Incomparable knowledge of Slaughter house purchasing
• Excellent comprehension of the food purchasing Industry.
