Job Summary

Finland Oman School seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic PYP 2 Homeroom Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire and guide young learners while delivering a high-quality education aligned with the principles of the Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with PYP objectives and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation and personal growth.
• Assess and evaluate students’ progress through formative and summative assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary units of inquiry and contribute to the school’s professional learning community.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with parents and guardians about students’ development and achievements.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably within the PYP framework or an international school setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Passionate about early childhood and primary education.
• Gender Requirement: Female candidates only, as per MOE and the school’s specific needs.
