Job Summary

  • To lead the assessment and audit processes for the Organisation as per ISO 17025 and ISO 17020, in order to ensure a steady state of ‘readiness’ across all departments at all times
  • To ensure that the Quality Management System is implemented and maintained
  • To report to laboratory management on the functioning and effectiveness of the Quality
    Management System
  • To lead the other Quality team members in the department and provide a point of initial contact for guidance and support on day to day activities and projects
  • To assist with the establishment and documentation of quality manuals, quality policies and objectives, including formulating a plan for ensuring these are in place and in use
  • To assist the operations in ensuring that the quality management system functions correctly by managing and maintaining quality monitoring systems
  • To assist the operations in ensuring that the quality management system functions correctly by helping to develop, manage and maintain regular quality meetings with all departments across the organisation
  • To assist in ensuring that the quality management system functions correctly by driving the development and implementation of an effective and efficient auditing programme which covers all departments, functions and sites
  • To assist in the management and deployment of the document control system for all departments and sites within the organisation
  • To organize and participate in the management review meeting as per the required intervals
  • To engage in activities with regard to the development and implementation of effective systems that measure and monitor the performance of the quality management system
  • Setting up of and subsequent monitoring of, External Quality Assessment schemes for the organisation
  • To assist and maintain systems to facilitate the continuing improvement as an organisation
  • To ensure all quality procedures are performed in accordance with the relevant Health and Safety legislation
