The ICMAB-CSIS specializes in Advanced Functional Materials to put forward an impactful change in Spain’s utilization of Material Science knowledge. Typically, the program opens a total of four slots for prospective postgraduate international applicants. If you are successful, you can have a paid fellowship, which can amount to more than a million euros.
The good thing about this fellowship is its availability for all students, regardless of nationality. However, since the institute specializes in Materials Science, you can expect that applicants with the relevant knowledge and field of interest will be prioritized. If you are an international student whose research is about energy storage and conversion, superconductors for power applications, oxide electronics, molecular electronics, and multifunctional nanostructured biochemical, you can submit your application for the Severo Ochoa Fellowship award. If you have another subject altogether but still falls within the bounds of scientific research, your application will still be considered. The process of evaluating applicants for this fellowship starts upon the receipt of forms. Nationalities who may apply for this scholarship are those from Brazil, Mexico, North America, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Spain. Eligible applicants should be interested in pursuing a master’s study program in engineering, information technology, energy and environment, and cybersecurity. You will also need to be proficient in the English language; thus, you will be asked for test scores in IELTS (5.0 or above), TOEFL (61 for Internet-based, 173 for computer-based, or 500 for paper-based), or Cambridge (C1 or above).
Applications for this scholarship usually close by April 2nd. If successful, you will receive full tuition fee coverage for your study program, and a yearly stipend of €10,800 ($12,345) for accommodation and transportation expenses.
The University of Lleida (UdL) scholarships aim to encourage international students who wish to continue their graduate degree studies in Spain. All applicants for the UdL Master Scholarships should have completed an undergraduate degree in another country, and should have submitted an admission application for a graduate program in UdL. Moreover, applicants should not have an existing graduate or postgraduate diploma from any Spanish institution for higher education, permanent residency status in Spain, or a current scholarship in the university.
