The UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) sets term times and school holidays in Dubai, which should be followed by all schools throughout the UAE without exception. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) also releases holiday updates for private schools in Dubai.
Students will be getting an Eight-week break during summer, a three-week break during winter, and a two-week break for spring.
The unified academic calendar of Dubai school holidays is approved by the government. But it’s important to note that schools based on the CBSE or ICSE curriculum have a different school calendar. Private schools not following the MOE curriculum are allowed around a week’s flexibility in setting their summer break dates.

*These private schools can close any day from March 2025, subject to the school fulfilling the stipulated number of school days and receiving KHDA approval.
All private schools can only tentatively communicate public holidays (like Eid, UAE National Day) to parents and confirm them once declared by the UAE government authority.
