Job Summary
The Security Coordinator at SLS Dubai Hotel and Residences is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all security-related activities to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property. The role involves managing security personnel, monitoring surveillance systems, conducting safety audits, and responding to security incidents. The Security Coordinator ensures compliance with safety protocols, handles access control, and assists in emergency response planning. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage critical situations effectively are essential for this role, along with a thorough understanding of security systems and procedures.
Job Description
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures in line with the hotel’s standards.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Manage and oversee the security team, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, including fire, theft, or other disturbances.
- Investigate and document incidents, ensuring proper reporting and follow-up.
- Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding security and safety.
- Prepare and present security reports to hotel management.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Skills: Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in operating security systems and technology.
- Certifications: Security-related certifications or licenses may be required or preferred, such as CPR/First Aid certification.
