Service Associate

Job Summary

In this position, the responsibilities of the Service Associate include, but not limited to, the following:

• Welcome and interact with guests, offer exceptional service to the guests in the restaurant and making them feel welcomed, comfortable, important and relaxed
• Prepare the table, laying out napkins and making sure the condiments are refilled as per the standard
• Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations in order to make right recommendation to guest to maximize all sales opportunities
• Complete daily checklist at the beginning and end of the shift, ensuring all tasks are completed throughout the shift
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor to ensure is well maintained as per hygiene standard
• Actively use upselling techniques to exceed guest expectations and increase average spending per customer

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• High school qualification
• Minimum 2 years of relevant job experience preferably in 5 star hotel chains or restaurants
• Basic computer literacy
• Fluent English communications skills- both written and spoken
• Knowledge of basic food hygiene and HACCP
• Ability to take responsibility, handle multiple tasks and prioritize
