Shanghai Concord Bilingual School

Shanghai Concord, established in 2017, is the first bilingual private school in the Huangpu District recruiting students from Grades 1 to 12. The school enjoys the full support of the Party Committee and the Huangpu District Government and adheres to the educational policies stipulated by the Huangpu District Education Bureau.

The school is located in the heart of the Huangpu District, which is a regional and cultural centre. This gives us the opportunity to develop an internationalised education catering for students' various needs both inside and outside the region and promote the development of the regional economy.

In order to achieve the high academic standards we aspire to, we work in cooperation with the UK's premier private school, Concord College. Academically, Concord is a leader in the field of education. It was once ranked by the Financial Times as the first of UK's best value boarding schools.

It is also well known for its profound cultural heritage, ‘holistic education’ philosophy, and high academic quality in the industry. Concord College is the cradle of the students entering the world's top universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London, and London School of Economics and Political Science. Concord College's unique and professional school-based teaching and attention to students' personalised development has provided a valuable reference for the field of education both at home and abroad.

Shanghai Concord is fortunate to have the support and advice of a very experienced Board of Directors, whose role is to ensure that the education provided is of the highest standard and in line with Shanghai Concord’s stated ethos and aims. The Board shall conduct financial oversight and provide expertise and guidance that might not be available to its Principals. In addition, the Board takes responsibility for the future direction of the school and holds regular meetings to deliberate on plans and goals.
