Applications will be accepted from March 30 to April 30, with candidates able to apply through the official website
Educators across the UAE looking to upgrade their qualifications and step into leadership roles will have new opportunities this year, as Sharjah Education Academy (SEA) opens admissions for its Fall 2026 semester.
Applications will be accepted from March 30 to April 30, with prospective candidates able to apply through the Academy’s official website.
The intake features a mix of academic and professional programmes aimed at strengthening educators’ skills and supporting career progression within schools and educational institutions.
The Academy is offering eight academic programmes accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, alongside three specialised Early Childhood Education certification programmes accredited by the National Qualifications Center (NQC).
All programmes are delivered in both Arabic and English, reflecting the UAE’s diverse education landscape and the growing demand for bilingual, highly skilled teaching professionals.
Among the key offerings is the Postgraduate Diploma in Education, developed in collaboration with the University of Helsinki in Finland. The programme focuses on enhancing teachers’ scientific and creative thinking, while encouraging research-based teaching practices and classroom innovation.
For educators aspiring to leadership positions, the Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership has been developed in partnership with the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. It equips participants with the tools to lead school improvement initiatives and implement effective development strategies across education systems.
SEA is also offering four master’s degree pathways: the Master of Education in Teacher Leadership and the Master of Education in Educational Leadership, both available in Arabic and English. These programmes build on the postgraduate diplomas, enabling educators to deepen their expertise and expand their roles within schools.
The Master of Education in Teacher Leadership, also developed with the University of Helsinki, focuses on advancing instructional practices and empowering teachers to take on leadership responsibilities. Meanwhile, the Master of Education in Educational Leadership, created with the University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, prepares school leaders to drive large-scale educational improvements and apply advanced research in real-world settings.
As part of its broader commitment to strengthening foundational learning, the Academy is also offering specialised Early Childhood Education certification programmes across three tracks for leaders, teachers, and teacher assistants.
Developed in partnership with the University of Helsinki, these programmes are based on the latest international research and aim to equip educators with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The goal is to support the development of high-quality early learning environments that foster children’s growth during critical early years.
All programmes follow a flexible learning model that combines in-person classes, online instruction, self-paced study, and hands-on application in educational settings. This approach allows working educators to balance professional responsibilities with academic advancement, while staying aligned with global trends in teaching and educational leadership.
