Established by its namesake in 2001 and opened in 2004, Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate (SEHC) helps shape minds and build futures by educating, nurturing and empowering young people to shine bright as they become global citizens.

We are very proud of our Senior School which has challenged and supported young people since 1966. For over 50 years Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate (SEHC) ākonga have been nurtured within a culture of respect, inspired to learn by committed teachers, and empowered to become lifelong global learners and achievers.

Our core values of Whanaungatanga, Excellence and Respect are at the heart of everything we do as we strive to enable positive, supportive relationships between staff, students and the wider school community.

Students at SEHC are encouraged to pursue greatness beyond what’s just in front of them, to strive for excellence, to persevere and to allow their culture to be a carrier of their success.
