A good quality, an affordable educational option, and a nurturing environment for the Indonesian students, SpinS started as a humble effort in 2003. And soon caught the attention of masses including the local residents for the exceptional care taken of each individual child and maintaining a high standard of education. The school earnestly strives towards developing good attitudes, morals, and values among the students to develop respectable and caring personalities.

Started with a strength of just 14 students in July 2003, today the school is the largest International school in Surabaya with a strength of nearly 500 students from 15 nationalities with Indian students forming the majority of the foreign students. This is more than any other International school in Surabaya both in number of students as well as in terms of the number of nationalities represented.

The school is professionally managed. Ever since the Inception Spins has strived to make a positive continuous contribution to the society. This effort made by the founder of the school Mrs. Sanjana Bhat towards the society has also been appreciated by the Ministry of Research & Technology, Republic of Indonesia that awarded her the International Professional of the Year in March 2004.

We believe that all children created by God are endowed with unique talents. Each and every child is capable of enhancing the world around us. It is our responsibility to provide these children the right environment wherein they can develop their abilities to grow up as confident and energetic human beings. We believe the coming generations would live the life to its full learn to excel and are prepare to lead themselves to a brighter future.

All interactions and communications during school hours is in English. Spins – International School also teaches Bahasa Indonesia, Hindi, Mandarin, and French.

The classes are made interesting by regular outdoor visits, practical approach to learning and experimentation. The School is a Wi-fi zone where students can access Internet facilities and educational programs to support their academic quests. However, the emphasis is on practical application of the knowledge and understanding of the logic behind the concepts being taught in the school from time to time.

Every child has the potential to be a winner provided we try to find out which area suits them and have the skills to enable them grow up to be one. A hundred years from now what will matter is not what we own but the world will be a better place if we could contribute in the life of the children we meet in their quest for knowledge and excellence.

Although English is the principal medium of instruction bahasa Indonesia , mandarin and hindi are essential elements within curriculum and social context of the school. The school encourages students to learn their mother tougue along with English.
