It is a pleasure to welcome you to the St Anselm’s Catholic Primary School in Harrow, Middlesex. We are very proud of our wonderful school where children and Christ are at the heart of all that we do. Our Mission Statement 'Learning and growing together through prayer, belief and love’ captures perfectly our vision of being a Christ-centered community which recognizes that we are all God’s children ‘made in the image and likeness of God’. At St Anselm’s we aim to help children develop in their journey of faith in a positive learning environment and to this end, we place Jesus, His teachings and His values at the center of what we do.

St Anselm’s is a two form entry primary school in the parish of Our Lady and St Thomas of Canterbury. We have high standards for academic achievement with progress and attainment consistently and significantly above the national and local authority average. Together with exceptional academic achievement, we believe also that St Anselm’s makes a valuable contribution to your child’s development and therefore, we also seek to nurture those special gifts which makes each child unique.  We aim to achieve this in providing a secure and caring environment where children develop their many talents and we fully recognize the importance of educating the ‘whole’ child. As a result of our strong community links, pastoral care and the curriculum we offer, we are a happy and highly successful school committed to providing an outstanding and inspiring education for all our children.

Home, School and Parish links are vital; Pope Francis said ‘The family remains the basic unit of society and the first school in which children learn the human, spiritual and moral values which enable them to be a beacon of goodness, integrity and justice in our communities.’ We value the full contribution to school life that parents make and the support offered by our parish, the Governing Body and our very active Staff and Parent Association. Together, we ensure that St Anselm’s remains a very special place where staff, pupils and parents strive to work together to create a positive learning environment which promotes the spiritual development, welfare and education of all our pupils.
