St Christopher’s International Primary School (SCIPS) was established in 1963, to deliver a broad, balanced British-based curriculum that is tailored to meet the needs of our diverse community.
Hosting families of over 32 different nationalities, St Christopher’s provides primary focused international education in a caring and nurturing environment. Even with an enrolment of 580+ children, the school still maintains the atmosphere of a “small” International School, where a strong family-feeling exists.
St. Christopher’s is a non-denominational, not-for-profit making school and we are very proud of both our history and achievements. We recognise that our greatest strength has always been the quality of our relationships with families and the dedication of the teaching staff.
The school is located in a delightful and easily accessible residential area of Penang. Our campus offers a secure, caring, friendly and nurturing environment for children aged between 3 and 11 years old.
We deliver a broad, balanced British-based curriculum that is tailored to meet the needs of our diverse community. Our teachers and staff ensure that all children, no matter what age or level of ability are engaged, supported and enjoy their learning.
At St Christopher’s, we are fortunate to have committed and highly professional team of Governors, who give a tremendous amount of their time voluntarily to the progress and development of the School. Some Governors are parents of children at St Christopher’s, whilst others are representatives of the community.
St. Christopher’s has a well deserved reputation as a happy and positive school, that promotes the importance of friendship, respect, trust and values. We often refer to our community as the ‘SCIPS Family’, and extend a warm and sincere welcome to all those who come to the school.

Non-profit international school with a long history. Nickname: SCIPS (pronounced skips). Their curriculum focuses on making learning fun, which sounds like a cliche… but amazingly they actually pull that off with motivated, hardworking teachers! A combination of that and lower tuition makes the waiting list loooong. In addition to preschool and primary, middle school years were added in 2022. Student ratio is kept at 50% Malaysian + 50% international. My kids come back from this great school, telling me “it was fun!” everyday

Great school overall. Spent my primary life in this school and had a great time learning. I'm currently studying in UPLANDS and have no trouble as SCIPS has prepared me for Secondary School. 10/10 recommend to come here especially if you're planning to send your children to secondary schools like UPLANDS, POWIIS, DALAT or Tenby. This school is actually not a bad school. I saw some comments complaining about the school like saying "my teacher made my kid do his homework during lunch, making him starve", well I think that it is your kid's responsibility to finish his homework at home with his best effort. I know that the school fees is expensive, so you should use this school to it's best potential!

True focus on the education and well being of the kids (most private schools care more about their profits). Well balanced approach between academics, values, physical health.
