Welcome to St. Cleopas Church of England Primary School. We are a happy, inclusive, Christian school located at the heart of the Dingle near central Liverpool. We are lucky to have wonderful views of the River Mersey and beautiful grounds for our children to play and learn in.
Our ethos is based on finding ways of understanding each other and different cultures and finding different ways of speaking to God and learning to know Him.
Our school has close links with our community and parish and enjoys the benefit of a dedicated and talented staff, supportive parents and experienced, hard-working governors.
We are an Eco Friendly School. Primary school is the start of an amazing journey in a child’s life, and we believe in being a haven where every child is valued, listened to and supported.
Our motto, written by the children, is Live, Laugh, Learn – these are all important aspects of growing up with a healthy attitude to life. We want our children and every person connected to our school to leave us with a thorough understanding of their abilities and the tools to help them succeed in the future.
Every school day we create lessons for our children that are creative, inclusive, challenging and relate to the life they LIVE. LAUGH during memorable and inspirational experiences that stimulate their young minds and allow them to question the world around them. Through immersive environments, our children LEARN to believe that they can become future thinkers, innovators and problem solvers
At St Cleopas Primary School are intent is to offer a curriculum that is broad and balanced which builds on the knowledge, understanding and skills of all our children, whatever their starting points, to enable them to progress through each key stage. The curriculum incorporates the statutory requirements of the new National Curriculum 2014, other experiences and opportunities which best meet the learning and developmental needs of our pupils.

The school has changed from open plan in design with only one separate classroom and a Nursery to separate classrooms, an Eco-build and an extra wing. The displays are lively and stimulating whilst the overall atmosphere gives a sense of calm and security.
Close links are forged with the wider community. The school has a firm commitment to Christian values, which is reflected in the Mission Statement and more practically, in the moral values reinforced by the staff and the weekly visits by the Vicar. Parents are encouraged to help in the classes and regular courses are organised for them.
The school extends children’s experiences through organising and funding regular outings to enhance the curriculum and provide awards for behaviour and attendance.
As a one and a half form entry school; St Cleopas is a school that demonstrates a strong team dynamic. The staff work extremely hard to raise not only academic standards but also to encourage acceptance and respect between the children.Extremely high expectations are set in all areas and any talent that is demonstrated is celebrated and treated with a sense of worth. This positive and enthusiastic approach is due to the fact that all staff members are completely committed to the children. Any action or decision that is made is done so with the child’s best interests in mind and for their benefit.
