Here at St Marks we are an independent Christian school offering a protective, yet challenging environment for your child to grow and mature in. We offer high academic standards and discipline. Our well qualified and experienced staff take their vocation seriously offering a deep understanding of their subjects and a passion for their chosen teaching career. Our small, well equipped classes seat no more than 20 learners which allows for a quality, deeply personal teaching and learning experience.

At St Marks we believe in a healthy mind, body and soul. We offer a variety of sports, cultural, social and spiritual development activities to anyone attending our school. Your child will be encouraged, uplifted and challenged to be the best person they can be. For learners who need that little extra support, we have experienced and compassionate guidance counsellors and mentors. They work with our teachers to help our learners succeed in every aspect of their school career.

St Marks opened its doors to 180 learners on 26 January 1999. Since then we have grown to full capacity and have built separate facilities for the High School and Primary School.

The visionaries, Bruce and Sandy Woolard saw the need for private Christian education at an affordable cost to the community. Their passion for ministry inspired a call to reach children and their parents / guardians in a practical way. Not only was the vision quality education, but mere importantly offering spiritual and emotional support throughout their school career. A happy child is a successful child.

At St Marks your child is more than just a number. Each staff member has a personal interest in not only your child's academics but their overall well being. Each learner is known by name and we strive to assist them through any difficulties whether it be in the classroom or in their personal journey in life.

Our Ethos is Christian and we will endeavor to instill biblical principles, morals and values into the lives of every learner. Our approach is in no way forceful but we offer a balanced view that will guide and help the learners in making wise choices.

Our school motto is 'Stete' (a Greek Word) meaning "Stand Firm." We will encourage all learners to stand firm in the faith as they face the challenges of life. Our school badge depicts the Church building with its seven pillars representing the sevenfold unity of the Spirit as found in Ephesians 4:4-6: one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all.
