This website has been developed to inform you about life at St Philip's College and all that it offers.

During its history, St Philip’s College has developed a reputation for academic excellence, a long established tradition linked to the Uniting Church and a co-curricular programme based on Kurt Hahn’s philosophy which includes a nationally recognised Outdoor Education programme, commitment to the International Round Square organisation and a substantial Community Service programme. In addition, St Philip’s College takes great pride in offering a quality Arts programme. These programmes demonstrate our endeavour to provide the best all-round education for our students by fully supporting them in their emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual and social development. Our aspiration is for St Philip's College students to ‘To strive, to seek and to care’. We look beyond the ordinary to achieve the extraordinary.

In encouraging our students to realise their full potential, we place a major emphasis on a creative and innovative teaching and learning environment, both within and outside the classroom. We encourage perseverance, tolerance and promote dignity in order to enhance interpersonal communication skills and to promote a growth mindset which is outward-looking so that our students are ready to make a positive contribution in the world they live.

In 1945 the Reverend Harry Griffiths, who worked for the Methodist Inland Mission in Alice Springs, saw the need for a boarding facility for children of families living in remote areas in Central Australia who needed access to schools.
