Welcome to St Wilfrid's Catholic Primary School We hope that the pages will give you a flavour of life at our lovely school. Our aim is to provide a happy, safe, secure and stimulating environment where all our children are supported and encouraged to achieve their very best. St Wilfrid’s Mission Statement states – ‘we strive to follow Christ’s example to always do our best’ and we feel that we can do this by having a strong partnership between home, school and the parish. We pride ourselves on the good behaviour and strong relationships that the children have with their peers and adults in the school.

We became part of the newly formed Our Lady and All Saints Catholic Multi Academy Company. We have joined with 12 other Catholic schools across Birmingham, Warwickshire and Solihull, to create one Catholic family- Strong in Faith. Our school site and building is bright, spacious and thoroughly enjoyed by the children. Making the choice of a school for your child is an important one and we do hope you feel that St Wilfrid’s is the school for you and your family. Please contact the school office if you require any further information, or if you would like a paper copy of any of the documents on our website.

If you are thinking of sending your child to our school, please get in touch and we would be delighted to show you around! St Wilfrid's Catholic Primary School is part of the Catholic Diocese of Birmingham and we offer a moral education, which follows the teachings of the Church and encourages the children to grow in love and respect for one another and the world about them. Through a rich and varied Catholic curriculum, opportunities are provided for the children to develop lively and enquiring minds. They are encouraged to grow in confidence and maturity and develop relevant skills for the future. We help the children to consider the wider world issues such as famines and disasters, environmental issues and local concerns and we support their efforts to alleviate the suffering and hardships of others.

St Wilfrid’s has gained the Silver Rights Respecting Schools Award through our work with UNICEF and the rights of the child as well as holding the Quality Mark. We are recognised as a National Healthy School, and we continually educate, encourage and support all of our children in living healthy lifestyles through eating, physical activity, emotional well-being and PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education). This contributes significantly in providing all our children with the knowledge, understanding, skills and attitudes to make decisions about being and staying safe, while enjoying and achieving in what they do. We work with specialist providers to give the children with high quality ICT and PE lessons and a range of after school clubs.
