Stanhope is an inclusive, diverse and thriving community school, educating over 500 girls and boys. We pride ourselves on providing a rich, broad and purposeful curriculum, where there is no glass ceiling for our pupils. We promote a growth mindset where pupils are expected to develop learning dispositions such as being curious, self-motivated and confident to be risk-takers and collaborators.

We offer extensive extra-curricular opportunities such as Public Speaking (LAMDA), Spanish, PE including Dance, Music and Art which complement our curriculum. We are a good school with very high aspirations for pupils, their families and the community of Greenford. Close working relationships between parents, teachers and pupils ensure the best possible opportunities for achievement, progress and success.

Pupil’s emotional, mental and physical health is at the heart of everything we do. The pupils take pride in actively promoting and leading on our well-being initiatives. We also place a great emphasis on our core values; respect, confidence, honesty, empathy and kindness. These moral values guide our actions and the choices we make. We endeavour to enable our pupils to leave Stanhope having achieved their academic potential and prepared to be responsible citizens of the modern world.

At Stanhope Primary School we believe in educating the whole child in a safe, stimulating and caring environment which acknowledges that all children are special and part of one community. By celebrating cultural diversity in an environment which promotes mutual respect, we aim for children to develop independence and confidence in learning so that every child can achieve the best that they can.

Our vision is to:

  • Create a safe, happy and stimulating environment where all children can reach their potential;
  • Provide the highest quality active learning experiences which challenge children to achieve excellence and the highest possible standards;
  • Help children become reliable and responsible individuals who are resourceful, resilient and independent;
