We are a two-form entry primary school, located on the perimeter of beautiful Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield. We are proud to be part of the Prince Albert Community Trust - a successful multi academy trust that believe their schools must be good enough for their own children. As a mother to a beautiful, three year-old daughter, we hold this value close. Anything happening at Sutton Park Primary needs to meet our own expectations for her schooling. Our children get one chance at their primary years...we want to make them count!
Reading is at the forefront of our aims for school this academic year. Reading is a life skill which opens doors children didn’t even realise existed. It opens hearts, imaginations and curiosities - making the impossible seem possible. We want every child to leave our school loving reading; with a thirst to read more; with expanded vocabularies and with a catalogue of texts they’ve enjoyed during their time here.
We have three houses at Sutton Park Primary, named after world-famous children’s authors: Rowling, Lewis and Dahl. This propels reading to the forefront of each day but also fosters vital social skills in our pupils such as effective communication and nurture for those younger than themselves. Our houses work together to overcome challenges, celebrate successes and care for each other.
At the beginning of our Sutton Park Primary journey, staff shared their hopes and vision for our school. Their responses showed how dedicated, passionate and invested they are in our school and its future. Three words formed their underpinning values: BELIEVE, INSPIRE, ACHIEVE.
Whether you are joining us on the beginning of your child’s academic journey in EYFS, or in a later school year, we welcome you into our family. Those of you who are already part of our wonderful school, please remember my door is always open. It is a privilege to work alongside you in ensuring the very best education for your child.
Our school values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens. Our values are:
In accordance with the Department for Education we aim to actively promote British values in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain.
Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law.
