Oakwood Bilingual School program is unique. Students become fully competent in both Spanish and English and comfortable speaking in both.

Students begin full immersion in kindergarten and receive twelve years of language instruction through junior and senior school.

The College follows the framework of provincial educational regulations while integrating instruction through all levels.

Our aim is to shape young people within a frame of understanding and mutual respect, helping them to become generous, well informed and eager for knowledge so that they can make their country a better and more peaceful place to live in.

All our actions, no matter how insignificant, are consequential and originate in the following guiding principles that constitute the philosophical foundations of our school

Integral: we believe in academic and individual teaching, that is to say that we firmly believe in offering academic contents while respecting the individual”s interests and personal circumstances

Personalized: we oblige ourselves to understand, respect and stimulate the different possibilities of every child, becoming acquainted with each family and to teach integrally in reduced groups. This enables us to make the best use of academic resources as essential factors in human development.

Balanced: we believe in an education that is well balanced between academic contents and the formation in human values. Our students become acquainted with the individual”s social dimension and so they become active members of the community.

School and family work hand in hand: our aim is to work in close relationship with the family, thus creating an environment of mutual participation. This in no way contradicts the autonomy that each of the institutions should have in the process of decision making. On the contrary, it is expected to integrate the other actors in the process in an environment of discussion and opinion. A complete educational process is unthinkable of without everybody”s participation: family, staff, authorities and students. As educators, we cannot ignore those parents who have understood and chosen for their children our educational project. In this sense, we are both complementary: school and family
