Systems Security Administrator

Job Summary

Systems Security Administrators must demonstrate technical knowledge of data systems and security procedures, as well as a familiarity with systems hardware and software. They require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry security trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations. We are actively searching for qualified candidates for this opportunity. We are currently identifying candidates for this effort. This requisition is contingent upon award of contract to Jacobs.

Qualifications

• Education Requirements: None
• Certification Requirements: DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II and/or RHCSA
• Experience Requirements: Eight years of intensive and progressive experience in the candidate’s field of study and specialization.

Typical duties include:

• Ensuring integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data
• Preventing and detecting intrusion
• System administration and hardening of Linux Systems
• Management of a SIEM (Splunk, ArcSight)
• Monitoring systems security and responding to security incidents
• Participating in security systems testing
• Reading and writing shell, Perl, Python Scripts
• Security tool usage and maintenance: Nessus, Core Impact, ACAS, Splunk
• Yara, Open IOC, or other host based signatures
• Management of an email Security Appliance
