The Preparatory years at Taunton School focus on developing knowledgeable, forward thinking communicators with a passion for learning that continues throughout their educational journey.

Here there is a strong focus on the core subjects of the curriculum, but we also encourage individual talents and special interests.  That’s what makes our children so fulfilled, happy and successful in their education.

Our aim for every child here is to help develop a well-educated, confident and happy young adult with a positive approach to life.

Unless you’re part of our community already, and spent time with us at Taunton School, it’s difficult to describe the atmosphere.  But it’s positive, warm, caring, inspiring and exciting!

We’d love you to soak up the atmosphere by allowing us to offer you a tour.  You can meet some of the staff, see where our students spend their time and ask as many questions as you like.

As well as providing an exceptional education, we aim to develop well rounded, independent young adults that are confident and keen to take on new challenges and experiences throughout their life.

By offering a range of sports, performing arts, clubs, trips and activities outside of the classroom, our Prep children gain confidence and independence, whilst mastering social interaction and developing essential life skills. But most of all, they have fun.

From learning how to develop ideas creatively, apply skills and tactics and acknowledging the success of others, to making informed decisions and setting realistic and achievable targets, our activities are designed to enhance personal, emotional, social and physical development.
