Job Summary
Under the authority of the Kindergarten Principal, the Kindergarten Teacher Assistant will help teachers to ensure
- Moral and physical well-being of children
- Material preparation of activities
- Safety of children
- Cleanliness of premises and equipment during the day
The Kindergarten Teacher Assistant will assist teachers to
- Supervise children’s arrivals and departures
- Provide assistance for dressing, undressing and change of clothes if necessary
- Ensure students’s personal hygiene: supervise children going to the toilets, washing hand and provide assistance if necessary
- Provide assistance during meals and snacks
- Ensure sorting of children’s work materials
- Ensure cleaning and storage of school or class equipments
- Ensure the cleanliness of the classroom during daytime
- Supervise activities (workshops, festivals, BCD…)
- Accompany children for school excursions (walks, visits, shows…)
- Prepare the materials necessary for activities
- Monitor and accompany children during break times, canteen, some activities, nap, during arrival and departure of school buses
- Any other ad hoc duties as assigned by your Superior or the Manager of the School
Requirements
- Experience with children from 2 to 5 years old
- Diploma in early childhood is a plus
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Discretion and sense of measurement
- Capacity for initiative and autonomy
- Dynamism
- Compliance with food hygiene rules
