Job Summary

The successful applicants will be able to:
- Support the Christian Ethos of the College;
- Demonstrate excellence in the development and teaching of EAL/D, ELT and ELICOS programs in a Prep to year 12 setting;
- Demonstrate an understanding of English assessment and band scaling
- Have a strong working knowledge in matters of pedagogy, curriculum, assessment and the use of ICT’s;
- Work cooperatively with teachers, parents and other members of the Redeemer community;
- Provide excellent pastoral care to students;
- Be registered to teach in Queensland;
- Hold a post graduate qualification in TESOL.

- A current curriculum vitae;
- Contact details;
- A copy of professional qualifications in Teaching EAL/D – in particular TESOL specialist qualification;
- A copy of your current registration card from Queensland College of Teachers;
- Names and contact details of three (3) referees.
- 300 words maximum response per selection criteria (see below):
Your response should address the following selection criteria:
- SC.1: Proven capacity to assess Prep to Year 12 students English levels and develop and deliver individual and group programs including EAL/D, ELT and ELICOS;
- SC.2: Ability to enhance student learning through effective pedagogical strategies and ICT’s;
- SC.3: Capacity to build strong partnerships for learning between home and school;
- SC.4: Willingness to support the Christian ethos of the college.
