Teacher EAL/D (TESOL) Specialist

Job Summary

The successful applicants will be able to:

• Support the Christian Ethos of the College;
• Demonstrate excellence in the development and teaching of EAL/D, ELT and ELICOS programs in a Prep to year 12 setting;
• Demonstrate an understanding of English assessment and band scaling
• Have a strong working knowledge in matters of pedagogy, curriculum, assessment and the use of ICT’s;
• Work cooperatively with teachers, parents and other members of the Redeemer community;
• Provide excellent pastoral care to students;
• Be registered to teach in Queensland;
• Hold a post graduate qualification in TESOL.

• SC.1: Proven capacity to assess Prep to Year 12 students English levels and develop and deliver individual and group programs including EAL/D, ELT and ELICOS;
• SC.2: Ability to enhance student learning through effective pedagogical strategies and ICT’s;
• SC.3: Capacity to build strong partnerships for learning between home and school;
• SC.4: Willingness to support the Christian ethos of the college.
