Bloom Education has partnered with one of the leading early childhood education providers, MindChamps, as part of a rapid expansion into the Nursery sector. Exciting opportunities for qualified and experienced Teachers are now available.

The Nursery Teacher understands and promotes the nursery’s vision, mission, social charter, and policies within the nursery setting and in the wider community. The Teacher is responsible for providing a safe and stimulating environment and delivering the MindChamps Nursery curriculum in an engaging and positive manner, that meets the needs of the individual Champs as well as the group as a whole.

Responsibilities

• Plans, supervises, and implements the MindChamps program for the class in accordance with the policies, guidelines, frameworks and philosophy of the nursery.
• Addresses each child’s educational and developmental needs and keeps accurate records of children’s progress.
• Provides a safe and stimulating environment for children to work and play in.
• Builds and maintains positive relationships with parents, children and other stakeholders.
• Completes progress reports on children for each term and prepares a developmental portfolio for each child.
• Discusses expectations, sets guidelines and establishes procedures for class organisation, discipline and daily schedules with team members.
• Is responsible for the arrangement, appearance, displays, and learning environment of the classroom.
• Attends all teachers’ meetings and professional development sessions.
• Works cooperatively with other staff/ teachers to ensure optimal benefit for children.
• Displays a positive attitude, works cooperatively with other staff members.
• Other adhoc duties might be required.

Required Skills

• University degree in Early Childhood or Education OR a university degree and a certified vocational certificate in care and education of young children OR certified vocational certificate in care and education of young children
• Minimum of two years’ experience in an Early Years setting
• Creative and inspiring with loving energy
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Knowledge in educational development / cognitive psychology
• Fluent in verbal and written English
