Technical Principal/Tunnel Design Manager

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Tunnel Design Manager or Technical Principal to join a leading infrastructure consultancy and contribute to the growth and development of a business with a reputation for technical excellence and strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Manager and review submissions for all issues of procurement, manufacturing, construction, testing and commissioning
• Provide all assistance to the Project Manager in all relevant matters
• Review and comment the contractor’s temporary works and detailed erection proposals of construction works
• Responsible for the pre-construction design, design review on construction, and coordination of all construction activities for all tunneling projects
• Further duties included giving technical assistance to the Project Teams and to client
• In charge of Pre-Construction Design (Schematic Design, Detailed Design, and Tendering Drawing) and Feasibility Study for all tunneling works/proejcts;
• Responsible for determination of possible FIDIC contract packages and finalizing the construction planning
• Assign tasks from time to time by the Executive Director and Country Manager
• Make sure that the works are being carried out in compliance with specifications and standards

Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• He/she has been involved for at least 5 years for tunneling projects in advanced economies
• He/she has proven record of supervising, organizing and managing of project pre-construction, construction proper and post construction of tunnel projects.
• He/she is a graduate of BSc Civil Engineering in a refutable university
• He/she has minimum of 16 years’ experience of Total Professional Experience
• He/she has 5 years of prior preconstrcution design experience as Tunnel Design Engineer/Manager
• This position is open to “International candidates” only.
• He/she has related IFI or Funded Project from International Donor (like ADB, JICA, WB, etc)
