Tyndale Park Christian School is an Independent school, located in Flat Bush, near Manukau City Central, and comprises over two hectares of land, with pockets of native bush, which have been developed to include modern classrooms, sealed courts, a sports field, and an adventure playground.

At the moment, the school is undergoing development of its land which will provide a significant increase in playing fields. However, for the remainder of this year, it is likely that we will face some restrictions in our playing areas, while this work is being completed. Our school has no zoning restrictions*, and children attend from a wide area of South East Auckland. Children are able to enjoy some of the native bush areas and the abundant bird-life which includes tuis, wood-pigeons and rosellas.Facilities provided include Home Economics & Technicraft Rooms, Art Room, IT Room, Library and a multi-purpose Hall.

The Primary School years are a time of excitement, growth and learning! The horizons of each child's world expand day by day. At school, there should be a combination of joy and challenge in learning, so that each child grows to maturity in knowledge and skill.

The Primary courses lay stress on soundly teaching basic skills and knowledge. Children are schooled in good work habits and the value of meeting standards of excellence.

At the same time as we lay a foundation in the basics we extend children's studies across the breadth of God's world in which they live. "The Earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and all that dwell therein." (Psalm 24:1) Children need to be brought to know and to wonder about an ever-increasing expanse of what God has entrusted to us. Bible, English, Mathematics, Science and Culture form the core of the curriculum with Art, Music and Physical Care for all students.

In Science, children study God's creation and how Man is to fulfil the creation mandate to exercise dominion over creation as God's stewards. It includes training in the basic practical skills used in research. Science Projects form part of the course work for Year 7 & 8 students each year. They participate in our Annual School Science Fair and winners have the chance to enter the regional Manukau Science Fair also.Pupils are introduced to a Foreign language, either French, Portuguese or German. The aim is to develop an appreciation and a basic understanding of the language. In Technology, pupils are given instruction in subjects such as cooking, technicrafts/tech drawing and sewing.

Secondary school curriculum is divided into two phases:

  • Year 9 & 10 pupils continue the same basic course as in our primary and intermediate classes, with the addition of a one hour, daily session utilising the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) material. Our aim is to lay a solid foundation of knowledge and skill so as to equip pupils with sound work skills and habits that are essential for senior students and those beginning work.
  • Students also complete the 'International Computer Driver's Licence' course; this is a 6-module, online, foundational course covering all aspects of computers including software and hardware.
  • Year 11 to 13 students work predominantly with the A.C.E. materials which are recognised by all NZ Universities and other tertiary education providers throughout the world. In addition, students participate in supplementary courses in subjects such as art, craft and design.
