UAE-India alliance: New initiative to give students chance to gain digital asset skills

In a significant move to reshape the global digital landscape, a leading innovation consortium from India has unveiled plans to accelerate high-value digital asset creation.

This aims to provide opportunities for students and young professionals to engage with novel technologies, gain practical skills in digital innovation, and explore new career pathways.

This initiative also aims to deepen innovation ties between the UAE and India — two countries bound by a long-standing strategic alliance.

At the heart of this initiative is a flagship summit, ‘Future of Learning: Innovation, Technology & Entrepreneurship’, scheduled for May 20, 2025, in Dubai.

In collaboration with Khaleej Times, the forum will explore how global educational challenges can be addressed through technology, forward-thinking policies, and international cooperation.

Pivotal to the event is Talrop, an emerging leader in the global startup scene, recognised for developing digital solutions that tackle real-world problems through education, entrepreneurship, and scalable innovation.

The high-impact event is set to convene policymakers, educators, startup founders, and investors to chart a path toward a future-ready ecosystem that nurtures talent, fosters creativity, and powers entrepreneurial growth.

Grassroots entrepreneurship

The initiative places a strong emphasis on grassroots entrepreneurship and positions Dubai as a global launchpad for scaling transformative ideas, particularly those emerging from the dynamic India-UAE innovation corridor.

The group also recently obtained its Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) license for Steyp, its Edtech startup in the UAE. “In two weeks, we will be inaugurating Steyp’s UAE office and are also set to open our Talrop office in DIFC, alongside the one in Business Bay,” said Mishana Mohammed, Director of International Operations and Startups. The theme of their growth is ‘Build in UAE, Scale in India, Expand Globally’.

Central to this approach is a ‘hybrid distribution model’ comprising three key innovation ecosystems: Techies Parks, Inventor Parks, and Village Parks.

“We’re not just talking about infrastructure. We’re talking about an ecosystem that brings the industry into campuses, schools, and communities,” added Mishana “This is about preparing students to be job creators, not job seekers.”

Techies Parks will be embedded within universities and colleges to immerse students in real-world industry experience, turning traditional “freshers” into industry-ready innovators. Inventor Parks, designed for schools, aim to ignite curiosity and creativity in students as young as fifth grade through programs in robotics, astronomy, and full-stack development — with many already building their own startups.

Meanwhile, Village Parks will serve as community hubs that connect everyday citizens with opportunities in technology and innovation.

“Here we aim to create a space that brings together people from all walks of life — a hub for technology, innovation, and collaboration, where top talent can be discovered and nurtured. Our goal is to position ourselves at the heart of the community.”

Dubai’s strategic location

Shedding light on how Dubai as the international headquarters, plays a crucial role in this vision, Mishana added, “Dubai is not just a city — it’s the centre of global movement in innovation, education, and entrepreneurship. If your idea is in Dubai, it’s already global.”

In an era of rapid AI transformation, the young innovator believes, future learners are everyone. “They are primary school students to aspiring entrepreneurs and we are determined to offer them the tools, mentorship, and ecosystems to thrive globally.”

Meanwhile, Charles Yardley, CEO of Khaleej Times, reiterated that learning goes beyond structured models.

UAE-India alliance: New initiative to give students chance to gain digital asset skills

He said, “We’ve always believed that education is more than just a system — it’s the foundation for a better future. And with the world evolving faster than ever, now is the time to reimagine what learning really means. That’s why we created the Future of Learning summit — a space to bring together passionate voices from all corners of the education landscape: teachers, innovators, policymakers, and investors.”

“This isn’t just another event. It’s a shared journey to build a learning ecosystem that’s inclusive, forward-thinking, and built to last. By aligning media influence with the strategic vision of investors like Talrop, we can accelerate meaningful change. We envision this summit not just as a conversation starter, but as a catalyst — influencing education policies, inspiring industry practices, and empowering youth to lead with purpose and creativity in the years to come,” added Yardley.
