University of Muhammadiyah Tangerang

On June 1, 1993 Tangerang STIE Muhammadiyah was established which is one of the charitable efforts of Muhammadiyah Persyarikatan belongs under the auspices of Council of Higher Education Research and Development (DIKTILITBANG) based on Decree Muhammadiyah Regional Chairman of Muhammadiyah Jakarta No.1.A / SK / B / 1992 dated 10 November 1992. berjalanya Over time, following the establishment of the STAI Muhammadiyah also Tangerang in 2000, then also stood STIKES Muhammadiyah Tangerang in 2004. the three charitable efforts of Muhammadiyah terseut in the shade and belongs to the Regional Executive of Muhammadiyah Kota Tangerang. With over increasingly competitive demands of the times, the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership Council Kota Tangerang period 2005-2010 recommended the establishment of Muhammadiyah University Tangerang, with the idea that has been considered thoroughly that the foundation Charitable Enterprises Muhammadiyah Kota Tangerang has a huge potential to be developed. In addition there is a consensus of the three leaders of Muhammadiyah High School who has been there to join in founding the University of Muhammadiyah Tangerang (UMT). The three institutions is STIEM, STAI, and STIKES Muhammadiyah, after a long process finally there is agreement to establish UMT. Finally, the establishment of UMT proposal received a positive response from the Minister of National Education and on August 3, 2009 SK minister No. 109 / D / 0/2009 on operational permits UMT. Under the decree, UMT has had new study results Visitation Program Directorate General of Higher Education Department of National Education. Prodi-study programs include:
