University Niccolò Cusano is a very versatile university offering both traditional face to face lessons at its Campus in Rome and modern e-learning lessons, for degree courses in six areas: Law, Economics, Political Science, Education, Psychology, Engineering.
Students can follow courses in Rome at central UNICUSANO CAMPUS. Here each day there are face to face lessons with a teacher. The University complex, over 16.000 square metres, is situated in a six-hectare park, and is equipped with a 109 room student residence, a restaurant, coffee bar and gym.
Once enrolled in the university, students can follow courses on an online multimedia platform. They can access, through an ordinary pc connected to the internet, all the courses related to their study programme, and thus make best use of the time that dedicate to their studies.
On enrolment they receive a password which allows them 24/7 to follow lessons which are in part video (recordings and video-conferencing) and in part based on power point slides, downloadable materials and self-assessment test. The platform also provides students forums, chat rooms and other facilities for interaction with tutors, teachers and other students. Examinations will be held in oral learning centres in the country concerned alternatively at our central campus in Rome, where the student will receive accommodation free of charge. The university also provides each student with online assistance from personal tutors who follow the student's progress throughout his or her course of study.
Unicusano is a modern university, in the sense that we offer young people the opportunity to lead normal lives while engaged in a full university education; they can have jobs, practise sports or travel at the same time as they study.
The mission of Unicusano University is to provide an excellent all-round university and post- university education and to carry out extensive research activities within the disciplines of each of its faculties.
The university also provides its students with further educational facilities, including counselling, professional training courses and the opportunity for applied research. Unicusano guarantees the “right to study” which is one of the key principles of the Italian Constitution, and in such a way that it gives its students the right to achieve their own personal educational and professional objectives.
Unicusano considers innovation and research to be essential for the creation of Centers of Excellence, and of new original teaching methods that are capable of attracting an ever-growing number of students and teachers from other universities. A major part of the University’s mission is the internationalisation of learning, teaching and research. For this reason, among its primary objectives is the development of international exchanges between students, teachers and technical staff.
Unicusano places great importance on students’ internship with firms or private and public authorities, since this combines training with work experience and gives young graduates an opportunity to acquire competences that are important for their professional future.
Among Unicusano’s top priorities are: combining learning programmes with social and political changes as well as with advances in technology and science; creating virtual European campuses; promoting twinning between schools by using e-learning systems; improving digital literacy; expanding opportunities for Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), and developing analytical and programming e-learning tools.
Unicusano is also innovative in its adoption of CLIL, an approach which is becoming increasingly widespread throughout Europe and which develops education and knowledge within a multilingual context, thus creating a pan-European knowledge society based on higher education and research.
Unicusano’s relationship with other centers of higher education is based on the concept of ‘coopetition’ (cooperation + competition) and follows guidelines proposed by the New and Net Economy such as ‘adhocracy’ ( flexibility and timeliness in educational activities), ‘data mining’ (skill in using information tools) and ‘education’ in the sense of the ability to learn ‘how to learn’, to know ‘how to do’ and ‘how to be’ and also the capacity to manage needs and identify areas where more incentives should be given to teaching and learning.
Unicusano intends also to enter into training programmes with other European universities, Centers of Excellence and institutes of higher education and to provide access to virtual libraries and other electronic resources, including data-driven learning, in order to give students the opportunity to receive a university education in more than one language.

La migliore università pubblica, professori preparati e sempre disponibili, a differenza di quella statale, dove i professori non sono mai disponibili, delegando molto spesso gli assistenti i quali si vestono da professori. Un campus in perfetto stile americano! C'è tutto quello che può essere utile per far sentire a casa uno studente fuori sede: la navetta per arrivare ai mezzi pubblici, la residenza e la mensa, la palestra e una meravigliosa area verde per rilassarsi tra una lezione e l'altra. Grazie Cusano!

Se dovessi descrivere l'Unicusano in tre parole sceglierei Dinamica, Innovativa e User-Friendly. Docenti molto preparati, assieme a tutto il personale che ho avuto il piacere di conoscere. Mi sono state concesse delle opportunità che in nessuna altra università avrei avuto, iniziando dalla disponibilità dei professori, passando per la competenza dell'Ufficio Career Service e concludendo con la professionalità dell'ufficio Marketing Unicusano.
