Welcome to Villiers High School. Not only does it have a proud history, being the longest established school in the borough, it has strong traditions and a very supportive learning community too. Villiers is a highly successful 11-19 co-educational school; our pupils come from diverse backgrounds and they work, play and flourish together developing respect and understanding of a variety of cultures.  All visitors to the school comment positively on the warmth of welcome, the harmonious atmosphere and the focused attitude of our pupils.

We have grown considerably in size and popularity in recent years; a reflection of our high standards and fantastic achievements. Our pupils leave with qualifications that will set them up for the world of work and further education. Our 150 teaching and support staff do an excellent job of educating nearly 1500 pupils each year and although this makes us larger than the England average, we are smaller than many local High schools. This makes us the right size to offer a full range of academic and vocational subjects taught by specialist teachers whilst retaining a small 'family' style supportive environment in which we get to know every child. We are rightly proud of our personalised approach to pupils' learning needs.

Although we take great pride in our high achievers, we are very proud that all our pupils leave with good qualifications, experiences and skills on which to build their futures. It is a regular event that 100% of our Sixth Form students achieve a place on a course at a university of their choice. We are particularly proud of our enrichment programme; we have expanded the range and diversity of our clubs and trips over recent years and are delighted to be able to give our pupils once in a lifetime opportunities to travel and learn.

We want our pupils to enjoy coming to school and develop a love of learning. Our Motto "For life, not school, we learn" explains that we want pupils to be excellent learners and active citizens who will make valuable contributions to their families and their community in the future.  We expect to see our school values of "Honesty, Equity, Aspiration, Respect and Tenacity" in action in our pupils' and staff's daily lives therefore our policies, procedures and approaches in the classroom are honed to develop these on a daily basis.

A large part of the school is in a beautiful Grade 2 Listed building and we have undertaken a comprehensive refurbishment plan to upgrade all the classrooms and IT facilities and we look forward to opening a brand new building in the next couple of years to complement our existing facilities.

It is always best to see the school in action and experience what learning looks like on a daily basis at Villiers. We really would encourage you to arrange a visit.
