Vineyard Lutheran School

Vineyard is a Foundation to Year 7 systemic Lutheran School situated in beautiful Clare Valley, approximately 142 kilometres north of Adelaide.  Vineyard has a current student population of 120 students. The school has a partnership with the Gums Childcare Centre through an Early Learning Centre for 3½ to 5 year old children.

The school is regarded highly, especially for the quality of teaching and the high level of care it provides for every student. Students at Vineyard are enthusiastic and cooperative with minimal behavioural issues. Parents make numerous positive contributions to school life, which enhance learning and extra-curricular opportunities for students.

The school is recognised for excellence in relation to our ICT directions. A iPad program has been introduced to Year 4-7 students from 2014, as the school is dedicated to embedding ICT in our pedagogy. Specialist teaching areas include; Music/Drama, German, Physical Education, and Design and Technology.

Vineyard Lutheran School, Clare, commenced operation in 2001 in the hall at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Sabine Street Clare. Student enrolment was 27, and there were five staff members which included Carl Petering the founding principal. During this time the school council and school community worked hard to find suitable land and the current permanent site at 59 Main North Road Clare was officially purchased.
