Welcome to Vision International School. We encourage you to take the time to explore our program and to discover for yourself why VIS has become one of Qatar’s leading international schools.

Our campus is enormous and extraordinary. It has plenty of natural light, creative spaces for learning, comfortable classrooms, a well-resourced library, science and art labs, designer furniture, and a pleasant cafeteria.

We have outstanding teachers, and ongoing teacher development and training remain one of the most important goals of VIS. Thanks to the dedication, commitment, and professionalism of the VIS faculty, leadership, and staff, we have gained membership with the Council for International Schools (CIS), and we earned the Middle States Association for Schools and Colleges Accreditation.

Since we opened our doors seven years ago, VIS has grown to become a complete American curriculum, a gender-separate international school committed to the academic, social, and emotional development of our students. We understand that the social and emotional growth of our students is critical to their academic achievement. ALL STUDENTS CAN LEARN!

We are committed to every student’s high academic achievement, and we engage students in learning with dynamic pedagogical approaches and Project-Based Learning. We are explicit and intentional to engage our students in a wide range of learning experiences and opportunities to cultivate their capacity to grow their knowledge and skills, understand and transfer big ideas, and apply their learning to produce innovative solutions to problems to make our world better. We are committed to developing local leaders and global learners. Through a gradual release of responsibility, we facilitate our students to self-direct and self-regulate as lifelong learners; we guide them to learn.

We maintain a healthy student-to-teacher ratio and focus on our ability to differentiate according to everyone’s needs.  Our intimate classroom settings allow teachers to fully understand each child’s learning style – strengths and areas requiring additional support.  The partnership between school and home is vital to the success of our program, and we rely on strong communication with parents to accomplish this. We embrace our responsibility to help prepare students for the transition to college and careers of their choice.

Our Mission
Vision International School is a gender-separate American-curriculum school committed to preparing students for the 21st century by providing an academic environment in which students learn how to collaboratively solve problems and learn independently. In addition, students learn to express themselves through the fine arts, athletics, and a wide range of activities and experiences designed to enrich their lives. We also seek to instill a sense of ethics, care and compassion for others.

Our Vision
Shaping local leaders and global learners

VIS aims to be a community that shapes local leaders and global learners by developing leadership skills, increasing global awareness, and by celebrating the culture and traditions of Qatar.

At Vision International School we aim at shaping

Creative Individuals who:

  • Use imagination and critical thinking to address essential questions
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity both in and outside of school
  • Develop self-esteem and self-expression through interaction with arts, sports, and the environment

Local Leaders who:

  • Take initiative and demonstrate personal integrity
  • Interact positively with others within the immediate and greater community
  • Deliver on the promise to develop Vision Pride in and out of the classroom

Global Learners who:

  • Exhibit a broader view of the world by understanding and accepting diversity
  • Are engaged and participating in collaborative activities with organizations from the wider community
  • Model compassion and empathy for others

21st Century Learners who:

  • Use information resources to extend their knowledge
  • Communicate, collaborate, think critically and create using technology locally and globally
  • Display digital citizenship, awareness, and skills

Vision International School Objectives

  • Provide a wide range of experiences and programs that actively engage students and promote their growth intellectually, physically, aesthetically and socially while developing a depth of character that exhibits empathy, a sense of service, moral courage, and humility.
  • Spark a passion in students to learn and to become intensely immersed in education as its own reward. This is accomplished by the provision of student-centered learning experiences that are real and relevant to the student, and under the guidance of caring, professional teachers that recognize each child as a unique individual.
  • Instill global citizenship by celebrating the culture and traditions of Qatar and other countries of the world. By experiencing the world through the eyes of others, and recognizing our similarities and differences, students become more grounded in their own culture, values, and traditions while gaining a broader understanding and appreciation of human diversity.
  • Recognize the unique learning needs of each student and provide an appropriately rigorous program for all. Differentiated learning establishes expectations that challenge all students to grow beyond their boundaries under the guidance of a teaching faculty that deeply understands the unique educational needs and capabilities of every child.
  • Use technology appropriately as a natural extension to enhance learning opportunities. Students are exposed to and engaged in the use of technology on a regular basis as a means to expand their classroom experience and provide them new opportunities for self-expression and discovery.
