Waikerie Lutheran Primary School is a school of the International Baccalaureate offering the Primary Years Program from Foundation to Year 7. Established in 1979 by the Waikerie Lutheran Parish, Waikerie Lutheran Primary School is located less than a kilometre from the township of Waikerie. The school is surrounded by a quiet suburb and vineyards; providing an ambience that is conducive to learning. The families that attend our school come from diverse backgrounds ranging from farming to professional.

The school is set over three hectares of land between McCutcheon and McIntosh Streets, in Waikerie. These grounds include a sheltered seating area for the children, a tree lined grassed area, fitness circuit, adventure playground, hard surfaced courts and oval. The classrooms are well appointed and are equipped with iPads and portable MacBooks for student use. We also have a dedicated Artroom, Learning Support Hub and Activity Hall.

We aim to assist parents in educating their children so that they are equipped for life now, and in the future. Choosing a school for your son or daughter is one of the most important decisions that you will ever make for them. A solid values based education in their formative years is one of the greatest gifts that you can give them. This website aims to provide you with a snapshot of our school - our structure, our facilities, and our program of care and education. It is hoped this will enable you to capture the spirit of Waikerie Lutheran Primary School.

Waikerie Lutheran Primary provides a balanced and varied curriculum that follows the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program. Through this program we aim to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

Waikerie Lutheran Primary believes in working in partnership with you, the primary educator of your children. This cooperative effort in every facet of your child's life, is important for your son or daughter during this primary stage of life. Parents also have the opportunity for active parental involvement through the Parents and Friends Committee, and many other avenues.
