Moments from Aberdeen tunnel, conveniently accessed from most parts of the island the purpose-built environment is bright, spacious and a wonderful environment for any young child. With floor to ceiling windows overlooking Aberdeen harbour, a large indoor play area, library and flexible learning spaces the learning environment is ideally suited for young children to explore and develop. Drop off and pick by car or bus is conveniently and safely facilitated as our Aberdeen kindergarten is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac.
Rollers and Wriggler classes are a great way to learn with your child. These 1 hour accompanied classes for children from 6 months of age focus on, communication, sensory and physical play. With flexible day options to suit your routine you can do as few as 2 or as many as 5 days.
As a 2 hour accompanied class Playgroup children who are 18 to 24 months of age are ready to explore their environment with ever increasing independence. Taking advantage of a child’s rapid language development at this age we introduce daily Mandarin sessions for the first time.
Stepping Stones is the first of our unaccompanied classes for children from 24 months of age. Offered as either a 2 or 3 hour program, with the flexibility to choose a day schedule to suit your family needs. With a mix of intentional teaching and purposeful play, the children will experience a program built around their physical, language and social emotional development.
Families can chose between a bilingual ( Mandarin and English ) or English, Pre-School experience for their child. Children learn through play, from a mix of intentional teaching and child initiated activities, in a vibrant language rich environment. Children can attend a morning or afternoon session with the option to attend both, which is very popular with our older preschool children as they prepare for primary school.
The Prep for Primary learning outcomes are mapped to the English National Curriculum Framework, children are regularly assessed against these outcomes. This full day program builds on the skills developed in Pre-School, exposing the children to ever more complex learning in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Woodland is a fantastic school and the teachers are amazing. My son loves his school and doesn't want any holiday because he likes to be in school more than anywhere else. I'm glad we made the right decision by choosing woodland for our son.
