Welcome to Woodside Primary Academy, where our priority is the well-being and progress of every child. We have worked hard to develop an atmosphere of trust, happiness and achievement here at the school, to ensure that your child feels cared for and supported on their educational journey. Ofsted recognise the excellent work in the areas above and have graded us as Outstanding in all areas of education (July 2016).
Since our Ofsted Inspection, we have worked hard to ensure we further develop exciting opportunities for all pupils. We now have our Friday afternoon sessions, where every pupil has a term of enrichment experiences. These include rock climbing, fencing, photography, cooking, gardening, drone flying and our Community Support programmes where pupils go out and spend inter-generational afternoons with our vulnerable elderly people in their care home.
We also opened our state-of-the-art Enrichment Centre in January 2018. It hosts cooking facilities for an entire class. Every pupil will cook six times per year, using the recipes designed with Executive Chef at The Ivy, Gary Lee. Our Science Laboratory can cater for 60 pupils and forms part of our high quality science provision. Our computing suite has an animation and recording studio, film equipment and drone flying capacity.
Developing young people who hold respect for the world and people around them is central to our vocation at Woodside. We want our pupils to leave Woodside embracing the core values that are linked to a successful life, both in terms of developing and achieving personal goals as well as the ability to positively contribute to the world at large. We issue all new parents with a home school agreement to reflect these life values. Parents, pupils, governors and staff have all contributed to their respective section of the agreement. This has now been signed by every pupil, parent, staff member and the Chair of Governors. From now on, the form will be signed by all new Woodside pupils. This agreement forms the heart of our school community! It symbolises us all coming together as one to support our children in their journey towards becoming successful young adults.

An amazing school that would always be a part of my heart. I have learned so much from this school, I own so much memories. This school gives a student so many opportunities and experiences every day, whether it being in class, after school clubs or trips. The teachers that I have been taught by or even talked to had been very inspiring, and have taught in a way in which you could ask questions without being scared or hesitant and work as hard as you possibly can every single day. The school has many different activites you could take part in making it a fun and educational environment. Not only math and English you would encounter but a variety of different lessons. An outstanding school indeed!

So what I think about Woodside Primary...always had a good impression of that school and had always been first choice.
Since my stepdaughter started there there are no signs of peer pressure. Teaching is good and the values they transmit to children are extension of what we practice at home.

The best school that could ever exist, you learn things other than your traditional maths and English . You learn to socialise, build relationships , meet people you may have to eventually leave ?But by going to this school, I learnt so much and I will always love this school and the people inside . Its offers exceptional education, after and define school care and a variety of enrichment activities. School trips are amazing. You won’t regret sending your child here. ?
