Ibn Al Hytham Islamic School was established in 1989 with its humble beginning of 7 teachers and 200 students in an old building in Manama. At present the school needs no introduction. It is famous among all the communities in Bahrain, especially with Indian Muslim Community for providing value-based quality education at the most affordable fee.

The purpose of establishing IHIS was not to increase the no. of existing schools in the Island. It was started as a mission in the field of education for providing the students an atmosphere where they can grow while learning the facts at the one hand and getting trained in the field of morals and ethics on the other hand, the end result will be getting an individual ready to serve the society in a different way. The aim of the mission is to produce a student who first of all must be a good human being than any professional.

We at IHIS believe that every child matters and that learning should be fun, purposeful and challenging. At IHIS we are committed to delivering inspirational teaching that develops confident learners. Our pupils take ownership of their learning and are proud of their achievements, preparing them for life in the modern world.

We provide a balanced environment focused on shaping children into leaders of tomorrow by offering comprehensive education through a developmental approach. The school environment promotes order, independence, a love for learning, a connection to the world and a sense of social responsibility. IHIS nurtures the leaders of tomorrow through a unique, well-defined curriculum and a dedicated focus on “learning beyond classroom.”

Keeping the contemporary global and national context in mind, We, at IHIS, strive to make the pursuit of excellence a way of life; a habit. Our school is filled with enthusiastic students willing to learn, supportive parents interested in their children’s education, and a dedicated professional staff committed to providing the students with a quality education and the most importantly very supportive and encouraging management that helps in achieving our goals and makes sure that we are not falling short of anything that is required in pursuit of excellence.

Students at IHIS are motivated to develop leadership skills and a thorough understanding of interdependence. Special emphasis is placed on the need to serve others while actively contributing to the school community and society as a whole. In the past few years our strength has doubled and this enables us to know that we are empowered by the unwavering trust that parents have in this institution, and in this fact lies our strength and inspiration.

Ibn Al Hytham Islamic School had been over the years striving to impart value-based quality education in an Islamic atmosphere. Scientific and technological advancements have caused lots of changes in the society at a rapid pace. These changes pose new challenges which the young generation has to be prepared well to face them confidently. Without religious education and building ethical personality, the young generation will be prone to evils and diseases that have propped up as negative side effects of modernity and materialistic ideology.

We at IHIS are determined to work for further growth of the school in future and bringing all the new technologies and teaching aids in order to create more space to accommodate admission seekers and make the teaching and learning experience interesting for both teachers and students. The parents of students deserve special thanks and appreciations for their continuous support and understanding.

Our vision is to work in partnership with our pupils, parents, and the community at large to create a positive and inclusive environment for high quality learning and teaching where everyone is valued and respected.
