The National Design Academy is the UK’s leading provider of fully accredited interior & garden design courses, from Diploma level to Bachelor and Master’s Degrees.
We are a non-profit UK University, established over 30 years ago and specialised in teaching interior design, with over 35,000 students graduated from 80 countries around the world.
Our Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are awarded by our academic partner De Montfort University, while our Diploma level courses are accredited by AIM Awards - making all our qualifications recognized by the UK government and accepted internationally.
The Academy has a branch studio at Dubai Knowledge Village, with our courses also recognized by the KHDA (our KHDA permit number is 62117, licensed under the name of ‘The Progression Agency’).
Our study programs are offered as flexible part-time programs online, meaning that students can study from anywhere in the world. There are no term times or semesters, so students can choose their own start date and work at their own pace to fit around work or family commitments. There is no mention of ‘Online’ or 'Distance Learning' anywhere on student certificates - it is exactly the same certificate as is issued to students studying in the UK.
Our courses are delivered online through our online learning platform – ‘Virtual Learning Studio’ - which offers plenty of learning resources like course material, video tutorials, and guides, as well as a student forum to ask questions and connect with fellow students.
We also offer the option of fast-track in-studio courses at our UK and Dubai studios.
The National Design Academy is passionate about encouraging and supporting all students to help them to achieve their goals in the exciting and lucrative world of design.
We offer the UK’s only online Master of Arts Degree in Interior Design and train more interior design graduates than any other UK university.

I recently attended the three-day workshop on Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment at the Interior Design Academy, and it was an exceptional experience. Miss Antoinette's expertise and passion for interior design were evident in every session, making complex concepts accessible and engaging. The hands-on activities and practical insights provided invaluable skills that I can immediately apply to my projects.

I'd always seen this building from afar and was in awe. Following a career change decision, I attended an open day here and I was hooked. Wonderfully helpful staff, excellent resources for distance learning, a brilliant background of experience from everyone, and I'm currently half way through my diploma. I would recommend to everyone wanting to get into the Interior Design Industry to come here!

Their studio course in Nottingham is a great way to get started in interior design. I met some really nice people too. The tutors were incredibly helpful and passionate about the subject and I was surprised how in-depth the course content was. I'm hoping to carry on with the NDA and do a degree once I've finished my diploma. Can't rate this course and the Academy highly enough
