,Willow Children’s Nursery is based on the Early Years & Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) and as a Reggio Emilia approach nursery. We provide an integrated early years program.

Willow was lovingly created in 2010 through a genuine passion to deliver quality early year’s care and education to the parents of Dubai.

Willow has gained a reputation for its welcoming and family friendly approach. Always going the extra mile to ensure best Practice and service.

Boasting beautiful green landscapes with water play areas, sand play, bicycle areas, and large grassy playscapes. The nursery is spacious and well designed for children’s outdoor play and learning experiences.

The Atelier is a magical space where children can be as creative as they want. A place where ideas come to life and children can feel free to touch, feel and discover many textures, mediums and techniques. Materials are widely available for all children such as clay, poster paints, gouache, watercolors, charcoals and pastels. Nothing is out of reach. in the atelier, young children are offered daily opportunities to encounter many types of materials, many expressive languages, many points of view, working actively with hands, minds, and emotions, in a context that values the expressiveness and creativity of each child in the group.

The children are encouraged to bring their Jute bags (provided by the nursery) filled with recyclable items to use for art projects and activities.

Willow caters for babies from 45 days old and are cared for by UK qualified Midwives who are also early years trained.

Most of our teaching staff are degree educated with the minimum qualification for teachers being a Cache level 3.

We are very proud to be accredited by the National Day Nurseries AssociationUK ( NDNA) having passed a 2 year Quality Assurance Scheme.

Our Children are viewed as competent, curious, full of knowledge, potential, and interested in connecting to the world around them. Our teachers are deeply aware of children’s potentials and construct all of their work and the environment around the children’s experience to respond appropriately.

Our opening hours are from 8-6pm with an early drop off available from 7am.

We offer flexible payment schemes and operate throughout the year with Summer , Spring and winter camps.

Inspiring children through the Reggio Emillia Approach to learning, Willow Nurseries natural and homely environment is in keeping with the ethos of Reggio a we have designed our classrooms to promote active learning in a homely and relaxed environment.

The Reggio Emilia Approach is an innovative and inspiring approach to early childhood education and values the child as strong, capable and resilient; rich with wonder and knowledge. Every child brings with them deep curiosity and potential and this innate curiosity drives their interest to understand their world and their place within it.

The environment is recognised for its potential to inspire children. An environment filled with natural light, order and beauty. Open spaces free from clutter, where every material is considered for its purpose, every corner is ever evolving to encourage children to delve deeper and deeper into their interests. The space encourages collaboration, communication and exploration. The space respects children as capable by providing them with authentic materials & tools. Also similar to Montessori, the space is cared for by the children and the adults.

Documentation is one of the most important and effective ways of recording children’s learning. At Willow Nursery our practitioners use digital photography such as cameras and I Pads to provide parents with a record of the learning process and to plan future experiences. We make learning visible to the children and their parents.

In line with the Approach Willow Nursery boasts a magical creative space called The Atelier (Creative art studio) with our very own Atelierista (professional Art teacher). The implementation of the Reggio Approach within the nursery is overseen by the Atelierista and the Pedagogista (expert in the method) We also work with a Reggio trainer who has studied the approach in Reggio Emilia Italy. Our staff are continually given opportunities to learn more about this child led, curiosity Approach to learning. Our rooms are full of natural light and free from clutter. My son is going on his 2nd year at Willow and he loves it! The teachers are very sweet and most of all they want what's best for the children. My son has learned so much and will be advanced as he enters the next level. They go over and beyond. Highly recommend this Nursery!

After 3 years and 4 months, time has finally come for our daughter to leave Willow nursery in Dubai Marina. From the first day, they exceeded our expectations. It's a lovely, friendly and well-run place. The teachers and assistants are wonderful, helpful and nurturing. They provide more care then we could ever ask for. Our daughter has always shown amazing progression: her speech, her confidence and understanding of the world around her would always improve month after month. We always felt calm and relaxed leaving our daughter with them: it was another home away from home. Willow would always keep us updated with her development and daily activities. Best of all, are the ballet class she did once a week and all the different activities to initiate them to physical education. There's always something extra that Willow look to see if they can add to their activities. Very happy parents and we will miss them.

Our daughter has been attending Willow Umm Sequim for nearly two years and we have been extremely happy with the nursery. We have found all of the staff to be caring, nurturing and considerate to all of our child's needs. The teaching staff are passionate and creative and our daughter absolutely loves them. We have always found the management to be flexible and helpful, especially when we've needed to change timings due to work commitments. We are extremely happy that that we chose Willow for our daughter and will be sad to leave when our she goes to big school this year.

My daughter started at Willow when she was 18 months old, she was shy and used to be with me all the time. The first few months were hard, as she dealt with separation anxiety and learning to socialize. Two years have passed since then and my daughter is a completely different child. She has grown and opened her mind to the world around her, and Willow is like her second home. Soon we will have to say goodbye to this wonderful nursery, but we will never forget the incredible work they have done with our daughter. The staff is amazing, particularly thanks to the director Emma, who keeps the needs of each child close to her heart. We are also so grateful to our daughter’s first and unforgettable teacher Bea, whose kindness was so important during that initial tough phase, and to her second teacher, Tracy, who put her on the right track to “big kid school” by teaching her to follow rules and manage her growing feelings. Our thanks also to the assistant teachers Terry Ann and Janette, who have been our daughter’s “comfort people” in the tearful moments!

My two children have been enrolled at Willow Nursery - Um Suqiem Branch for one year now and I can’t say enough positive things about the Nursery. I fell in love with the Nursery the first time I visited it; the colors and smells remind me of a quirky and loving grandmother’s house where children are free to grow, experience and learn through all of their senses - it is the embodiment of childhood the way it is supposed to be! The teachers and staff are warm and loving, the administration is helpful, and everyone works together as a team alongside parents to provide a loving, warm, safe and interesting environment where kid are free to investigate and learn in an unhurried and natural way. The jewel in the crown of this little gem of a nursery must be the atelier; it is a magical place chock full of creativity and imagination and the tools to set these free from the minds of children through art projects and other installations! As the saying goes, “The proof is in the pudding.”; and the best reviewers of the nursery are my children. They are thriving at Willow, they are happy and healthy, they loved to be dropped off in the morning, are always smiling when I come to pick them up, they hate to leave and the constantly talk about their friends, teachers and activities when they arrive home. I am thrilled that my children are part of the Willow family!!!
