We have delivered quality Further and Higher education and training for more than 180 years and are one of the biggest Further Education colleges in the country. We're also one of the largest providers of Higher Education outside of the university sector. In total, the student body is more than 20,000 strong. With a strong professional emphasis, our students benefit from more taught hours and tutor contact time than many universities. In most cases, group class sizes are smaller and learners benefit from more contact time and tutor support.

We work hard to secure work experience opportunities and placements for our students by working with our in-house placement and recruitment service Beacon Recruitment. Many of our students go on to enjoy successful careers in their chosen field after studying with us. In Higher Education 85.6% of our graduates were in employment or went on to further study within 6 months of completing their studies; and of those in employment, over 68% were in managerial or professional jobs (DLHE survey, 2015/16).
