The University of Manchester offers a transformative education experience; the dedicated staff fosters incredible growth, and I've witnessed my child's confidence soar as they thrive academically.

One of the best universities. I've done two degrees here and loved every moment of it. They're extremely supportive and care about individual students. My lecturers always went the extra mile for us and made everything so enjoyable.

I consider this University of Manchester and The Manchester Metropolitan University the pride of Manchester. They have contributed a lot in research, business and most of all a lot of talents were PRODUCED here. It is an Amazing Place of learning....

I've been left feeling angry and frustrated in my time here on a postgraduate taught course. There is almost no teaching from staff so it doesn't feel like a full-time course at all. More importantly, when things go wrong the student is left helpless because of the terrible complaints procedure. I have sat assessment in which I am at a disadvantage. Many students are part-time and work in industry which gives them an advantage in assessment due to their knowledge. This was acknowledged by one module leader who changed the format of some assessment (I have an email to prove this) but another module leader is basically indignant even though his actions might change the degree I get after a year of hard work. I have attended lectures with 30+ students but when sitting the exam there were only 7 or 8 students. The way the course is assessed is bizzare and I feel like a visitor. I know hardly anyone on the course. The facilities are obviously very good but I wish I had gone elsewhere.

As a 1 year MA student I have now missed almost 20% of my overall teaching time and the uni are offering no fitting way to compensate me, neither academically nor financially. I am not receiving a penny of my 9,000 fees back and I am not getting any tangible recognition for the fact that I have basically taught myself the latter part of my MA. I would highly recommend spending your money elsewhere!

The University of Manchester puts university rankings above the quality of its education. A senior staff member has recently stated, in response to the strikes with regard to cutting lecturers' pensions, that the university only has a requirement to provide a degree and not an education. This really highlights the type of institution that the university is. The chancellor Nancy Rothewell cares little about staff, and only about profit. I have spent 4 years at the university, and having spoken with my lecturers on various occasions, almost all show how much they despise the way the university is run.

A university which does not care about its students. In response to students about strike action, Chancellor and team say the “contract is to deliver a degree” – not an education. Consider going ANYWHERE else, somewhere that actually cares about providing EDUCATION

The University of Manchester is a Top Notch university in Manchester, United Kingdom. It has the state of the art facilities, a mixture of old and future looking buildings, students to help you, and also the professors are great here.

This review is in regard to ON CAMPUS ACCOMMODATION. BEWARE- If you are a potential student who is considering on campus accommodation. As an international Masters student, I have never been subjected to such rudeness, inconsideration, and disregard before and my feelings are shared by many of my colleagues. With a lack of communication and general disdain for students' well-being, the accommodation staff at the University of Manchester are the worst university staff I have ever encountered, and I work in higher education! Spotty wifi, barely maintained facilities, and substandard cleaning services as well as entire accommodations being forcibly evicted with poor communication and processes are only some of the nightmares I've encountered during my year here. Please DO NOT waste your money living on campus. I had to as a last resort and it has made me regret completing my Masters degree at the University of Manchester.

I studied at uni of manchester in 1998, 99. It was really a wonderful and unforgetable experience of my life. The style of teaching and learning was absolutely great. It was really a tention free zone which i m missing all the time. The nice and loving behaviour of the people of uk is speechless. Now i want to do M.Phil and Ph.D from there as well.
