The University of Windsor is a comprehensive, student-centred university, with more than 16,500 students enrolled in a broad range of undergraduate and graduate programs including several professional schools such as Law, Business, Engineering, Education, Nursing, Human Kinetics and Social Work. The new Ed Lumley Centre for Engineering Innovation, the largest capital project on campus to date, opened in the fall of 2012 as a world-class hub for innovation, featuring the latest in classroom teaching technology, an Industrial Courtyard for collaborative work with the region and 80 research labs. UWindsor will expand its campus into the downtown core when the Schools of Visual Arts, Music, Social Work, the film production program and the Centre for Executive and Professional Education, move into renovated historical buildings in 2014From that diversity, the University fosters an atmosphere of close cooperation between faculty and students, creating a unifying atmosphere of excellence across all of its faculties to encourage lifelong learning, teaching, research and discovery. Great university, great profs. Beware of the profs with strong accents; it's impossible to understand them I highly recommend this university to anyone, even if you're outside of Windsor.

Went back to school way back in 1980 as a mature student....graduated in 1985 in physics. Will always appreciate the great profs (Chandna, Schlesinger et al) and wonderful student colleagues back in the day....put me on the long and winding road to continue to my PhD (defence this summer!) worst university, they will not admitt the people and simply they will send a reason as NOT ADMITTED BECAUSE THERE IS NO FACULTY TO SUPERVISE IN THE FIELD OF RESEARCH. So I wonder that if they don’t have a facility why they have listed all courses in their catalog. I applied for MSc chemistry and bio-chemistry. & MSc Environmental sciences, MSc Biological Sciences. I received same reason for all three courses. Please guys DONT APPLY .... DONT APPLY

Terrible communication, I submitted an application and had to have my references re-upload letters multiple times because "they were not received". Now I have yet to hear many months later any word but have deadlines for another school coming up, while I have sent in multiple emails. Another grad school I applied to has been great with communication the whole way so I know where I will be taking my money! If you don't want me at least have the decency to let me know, thanks!

Best thing about Windsor is Detroit/ Ann Arbor. Second best thing about Windsor was leaving it and going to a much better school.

Horrible place, the campus sucks, the proofs look like they straight out of highschool and it seems like there is no one in charge. It takes weeks of calling just for the register office to call you back! Half the time the office is closed when it's suppose to be open. The cashier office took 1 month of me calling, to give me back my tuition refund, so I didn't have to go to this dump! The register office is even worst! I tried callin the dean one day, but what's the point you can already tell he dose not do his job to well. Last but not least I would like to thank Proff Nat, if I didn't meet her I would not realize how bad this university is and the people that work at it. Thanks to her I'm not stuck in Windsor for 1 year.

I believe the University of Windsor, is my home far away from home. I can passionately and confidently say this anywhere in the world. Yes, there may be some lapses here and there at the University, and you can say the same thing of any other publicly funded institution. The fact of the matter is that the University of Windsor, is working on these lapses and doing something about it, one should even say hurray to them. There are many institutions were these things are covered up. I Congratulate the Odette School of Business, for their wonderful and Inspiring professors. They simply bring out the best in me. Up Lancers!!!

as a parent who has a daughter graduate from the university of windsor.can tell how you should be proud to see themes after 4 years off hard studying. theirs stress .struggle to get the level that she deserve herd and others who put everything a side to become what theys deserve. I understand the frustration of some students for delay or not bee accepted .but if you whant it you will make it. and very proud of the level of education.good luck everyone.

Poor administration ...... I have been waiting for the admission decision about 4 month , they have given file processing time 6-8 weeks , they took 6-14 weeks and they respond me 1.5 month before the semester and say's u don't have enough time for preparation and rejected my application. This people doesn't have time sense . Before I applied I have sent all of my documents to them and they encouraged me to apply officially . I have applied and paid application fees which is just waste of money and time as well ..... :(

windsor has a small close knit campus, great student life, and decent education, but most importantly for me they didn't charge for disability services. The ability to do a years worth of courses at wayne state university in midtown is a welcome advantage to uwindsor, giving it an international edge edge no other school can compete with without any added costs.

Well, the university is striving to get into its way. The acceptance ratio is quite high, and the level of competition is very low. It's definitely possible to raise the standard of University by introducing some new criterias and enhancing the quality of education/teaching. And if you think about the matter of location, I believe that the small town or city or metrocity does not affect the status of University. It all depends on its own. Hence, many things can be improved.

got me a job in my field. so can't go wrong there. the faculty of nursing program is phenomenal, the professors and the support staff are truly inspiring professionals in the health care field. incredibly involved and willing to go the extra mile to ensure you are successful.

A waste of money if you attend this school for the Computer Science program. You're better off learning stuff on your own, starting a business, getting a job, etc. Not only do you make money and learn more in those 4 years compared to what you would have if you went here, you also won't have any debt and you have more experience and probably a higher paying job compared to those that attended this sorry excuse for a school.

I came to UWindsor from out of town. SO GLAD I DID! This has got to be one of the most underrated Universities! I cannot say enough about everything here. Quality Education, Helpful Services, Extracurricular, Affordability, even just walks/jogs along the riverfront... I love this place! Being in my third year here now, I'm hoping to move here permanently once I'm done school (but I'm doing a graduate degree here so that will be a while still). I really fit right into the scene though and it was easy to become comfortable here from the beginning. If I had to be critical I would say that I wish they would expand the university area even more. They've done lots of renovations and have a lot of new buildings and exciting projects/things going on; the new engineering building/faculty is absolutely incredible. I think they need more buildings like that! They need to clean up some neighbouring areas around the university too... Some are beautiful, like the older style homes and streets that have so much character, and others have the potential to be so nice but they just need some TLC!!!

Campus is actually quite lovely! I think I stereotyped it like the rest of us - new buildings and infrastructure are everywhere - this Uni is ramping up! ladies at the Registrar office are extremely rude and always in a rush they don't even hear your question, as opposed to the one's in cashier.

With the view of The Detroit river and skyline, a very pleasant environment, with the Leddy providing you with everything you want and the really good Recreation centre, a very good place to learn.
