A fruitful and wonderful visit....This complex is a unique model of medical education, scientific research, training and health services. The complex began its work in 2005 by establishing the colleges of medicine, dentistry and pharmacy, as the College of Health Sciences had been established before that in 1999 and then moved to its new location to join the complex in 2006. In 2009, the University of Sharjah Center was added to the complex. For clinical training and Sharjah Surgical Institute. This was followed in 2010 by the establishment of the Sharjah Medical Research Institute. In 2011, the University Hospital of Sharjah and the University Dental Hospital joined the complex.

Sharjah University was established in 1997 under the patronage of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council of Sharjah Governor. It is an Arab university, an independent scientific body with an associated financial and administrative independence and owned by Sharjah and its location within the university city in Sharjah.
