SISD takes part in the Ramadan Sharing Fridges initiative

On the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan, a time of blessings and giving, the Swiss International Scientific School in Dubai (SISD) is taking part in the ‘Ramadan Sharing Fridges’ initiative for its second consecutive year.

This year, SISD is providing four fridges on campus. In the spirit of togetherness, one of the school’s founding principles, staff and students donate food and drinks on a daily basis. Nearby workers are free to help themselves throughout this holy month to whatever they need from the fridge.

The Ramadan Sharing Fridge community initiative started in 2016, where fridges popped up all over the city to help those in need. Four years later, the Facebook group, Ramadan Sharing Fridges has 30,000 members / volunteers and over 200 fridges around the city.
