Bromsgrove International School aims to produce happy, moral and creative citizens through enlightened, disciplined and broad education. We seek to foster individuals who will, proactively, make this world a better place

Following the best of British traditions, we offer an appropriate and challenging programme of study, based upon the National Curriculum for England, whilst incorporating the flexibility to effectively respond to global change. Our students ultimately take IGCSE, AS, A level examinations, and we also offer the BTEC qualification. These options open doors to universities worldwide.

The robust academic programme is supported by a strong pastoral system, which nurtures and enables each student to achieve their maximum potential. In addition to the wide range of after-school activities, our House system encourages healthy competition between students at all levels.

Bromsgrove is a school where internationally-minded and culturally aware students are encouraged to pursue both academic excellence and personal development, thus enabling them to take a leading role in tomorrow’s ever-changing global community: Through the partnership of child, parent and school we can and will make a real difference.

The Primary School (ages 5-11 years) is the next phase of school following on from Early Years Foundation Stage. We have a thorough transition programme in place to help students move seamlessly from one phase to the next. We have a Reception transition programme for students moving into the Primary phase of school, a Year 1 transition programme to help parents and children familiarise themselves with the “big school” for the move to our Windsor Park campus, and a Year 6 transition programme to prepare our students for Secondary school. Every year group also participates in our Moving Up day to help them transition from one year group to the next.

We follow a curriculum based upon the English National Curriculum (ENC), so that our students are fully prepared for the external exams in Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. We ensure that we embody the best elements of this curriculum, whilst tailoring it to fit the needs of our students and the cultural context that we are in. The curriculum we offer has depth, rigour and promotes the values that we espouse as a school in our Learner Profile: determination, curiosity, independence, risk-taking, kindness, the ability to work in a team, positivity and a reflective nature. As students progress through our community the curriculum adapts and reflects the differing needs of the developing individual with a true personalisation of their learning experiences. Naturally, the curriculum we offer is much more than just academic subjects. The whole “Bromsgrove Experience” encompasses many other elements that contribute to the development of confident, happy young achievers.

  • In Key Stage 3, each subject is timetabled discreetly, allowing students to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding in each subject area. We value cross curricular links so that students are able to maximise their transferable skills and gain the most from their education.
  • In Key Stage 4, students study for their iGCSEs/GCSEs. The core curriculum consists of English, Maths and Science, with a further four options drawn from a variety of disciplines. Through our robust pastoral system we seek to guide students to make appropriate subject choices.
  • In Key Stage 5, students study for their A Levels or BTec Diploma courses, choosing four subject options. Students will typically need to have attained a minimum of a B grade at iGCSE/GCSE level within that subject before embarking upon the A Level course.

Academics are a key part in a Sixth Form students’ life. Students can choose from a diverse range of A-level and BTEC courses at Bromsgrove, ensuring that a variety of attractive learning pathways are available to them beyond school. It is an exciting time for students, who can begin to develop and hone their skills in the subjects that they are truly passionate about.

Life in the Sixth Form is unique when compared to the rest of the school. We want every student to embrace a wide range of opportunities so that they can take advantage of the full ‘Bromsgrove Experience’. Student Leadership is an important part of this, and we encourage our students to develop themselves through the Sixth Form Council, service projects, debating, public speaking and many more exciting opportunities.

Our students have careful guidance regarding future university options throughout the two years, leading to admissions into some of the top universities and institutions across the globe.

One of the best schools in Bangkok. I did my A-Levels here in 2013-14. Excellent establishment with lots of good memories I had.
I wish the best for the school staff and students.

The facilities are nice and the teachers are very professional. The class size is small so that the kids have more and more attention and also the school has a good reputation.

This is a great school. My son and daughter are studying in Bromsgrove Early Years. The facilities are nice and the teachers are very professional. The class size is small enough with plenty of adults looking after the little kids. Brilliant!
