Cape Cod Academy is an independent day school for students in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. The college preparatory school is located in Osterville, MA, on a 46 acre campus and is organized into three school divisions: Lower (K-5), Middle (6-8) and Upper (9-12).
The school is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization overseen by a Board of Trustees. CCA was founded in Osterville in 1976 after the closing of our predecessor schools, The Friendship School and the Sea Pines School.
Cape Cod Academy fosters a life-long drive to learn and grow and make a difference in the world. Cape Cod Academy teaches students habits of heart and mind that prepare them to be successful in college, healthy in life, and contributors to society - both locally and globally. As a school and a community, Cape Cod Academy is given purpose and clarity by daily reference to our guiding core values: Scholarship, Honesty, Compassion, Respect.
It doesn’t take long to realize that Cape Cod Academy is a special place. We have outstanding faculty, beautiful facilities, and a truly wonderful community of students and families. Though my background in business is somewhat atypical for a school head, in the past few years we have been able to dive in and help create some new opportunities in partnership with the leadership team and many of our educators.
It is the success of that collaborative process that gave me the confidence that we can continue to work in tandem with our larger community to build on CCA’s mission and move the school forward in in innovative new ways to maintain our position as the best private school in the region.
The biggest priority is growing the school. We have seen a spike in enrollment inquiries in all divisions. Our lower school students thrive in small class sizes where they greatly benefit from individual attention. Our middle school is uniquely designed to foster the educational and social development of adolescent students, and the richness of our upper school is unsurpassed. We look forward to sharing these attributes with prospective families.

Cape Cod Academy in Barnstable is an amazing institute that provides top-notch education. The staff is incredibly helpful and dedicated to the success of every student. My child has made great progress academically and has developed essential skills for the future.
