At Cefn Glas Infants School we have a dedicated staff team who are totally committed to ensuring that every child reaches their potential. We are a friendly and caring school with well developed parental and community links.

We are very proud of our school and all it achieves for our young pupils. All staff strive to develop a culture within the school where our children feel safe and secure and where learning is fun, engaging and a valued activity for all. We would like to thank all our families, Governors, staff and pupils for making Cefn Glas Infants such a wonderful place to begin their learning journey.

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.

We are a school community built of pupils, parents, school staff, Governors and Community partners and “everyone counts”. We endeavour to consult with all stakeholders and encourage an open door policy at school. If anyone has an issue or a problem they would like to discuss, we will try to see them as soon as possible. We are in the process of designing a new questionnaire to send to parents to ask them for their feedback on the way we do things in school. This new questionnaire will be designed by parents, for parents. We believe a good school needs well trained staff and we use the Investors in People programme to ensure our staff have access to high quality training.

We are currently an Investors in People Silver Standard school and are actively working towards Gold Standard. Through our Investors in People programme we have made explicit our Core Values. These Core values underpin and explain our philosophies for teaching and learning. They describe school life in Cefn Glas and the ways in which we will help your child to reach their full potential. All activities promote the child at the centre of learning.
