Here at Corn Hir School we aim to provide a supportive community within a safe and happy environment, where everyone is motivated and challenged to achieve their potential. Emphasis is placed on quality and high standards in both work and behaviour, which in turn develops positive attitudes in our learners. This will set a firm foundation on which their future education and life is based.
To create a school where the best values, consistent attitudes and the best possible practice within our capability are to be found. These will be a means to promote the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of the pupils.
Our aim as School Council members is to work together in creating a caring, safe and happy community where each individual will be encouraged to become responsible, healthy and friendly members of society.
Good behaviour is essential if the school is to fulfil its aims of creating a happy and homely environment where the child can develop to his full potential. The school’s ‘Promoting Good Behaviour’ policy clearly outlines the school’s method of ensuring positive behaviour and the steps taken when pupils have difficulties in keeping to the school rules. Each child is placed in the care of his/her class teacher, but all the staff seek to ensure the welfare of all pupils. This school encourages the children to be self-disciplined, responsible and to respect others. We know that we shall have parental support as regards this.
