The European International School Ho Chi Minh City (EIS) is a unique learning environment. On campus, you find yourself immersed in the beautiful, low-rise, green surroundings of an education village where children, teachers and families thrive. People often remark that the school is a most welcoming place and comment on the calm purpose that permeates the school and the happy demeanor of the students.

We are incredibly lucky at EIS, being blessed with not only a beautiful campus, but a vibrant, supportive and diverse community that is singly committed to making sure that every child has an enriching and challenging learning experience. To this end, we work together to develop programmes, activities and an academic programme that is engaging and challenging.

Philosophically, the School believes in the importance of creating a safe learning environment where students enjoy learning and do not fear failure. We are constantly encouraging our children to push themselves, take risks and try new things to exceed learning outcomes. We emphasize the importance of learning to collaborate, caring for others, asking great questions, researching thoroughly and reflecting on personal actions. In short, we develop young people who are truly resilient, independent learners.

We are proud to be one of a few authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum Schools in Vietnam, and one of an exclusive group of only 364 IB Continuum Schools worldwide. We are focused on delivering the IB curriculum and developing students who acquire the skills and values of the IB learner profile to enable them to transition smoothly through their school careers and to other schools, colleges and universities globally.

New students settle-in and make new friends quickly due to the supportive, safe and family style environment on campus. On arriving at EIS, new students are assigned buddies from their homeroom to assist with orientation, timetabling and familiarising themselves with the school culture and parents are also welcomed by our supportive Parent Classroom Representatives and Parent Council. Parents are able to communicate easily with Homeroom Teachers and support staff to assist with any questions they may have. At EIS, there is strong parent involvement and support throughout the school which further enables a smooth transition to the school. The warmth and openness of our educational village ensures that all new students and their families are sure to feel welcomed and a part of our community almost as soon as they walk on campus.

Our teaching and learning environment is based on the philosophy and programmes of the International Baccalaureate organisation (and in particular the IB Learner Profile) as well as the school's Guiding Statements (Vision Narrative, Values and Learning Principles).

Students are challenged within an academic programme that is concepts-driven and skills-driven, which provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge 'tool box', to help them become successful in tomorrow's uncertain world. Rather than simply learning knowledge and content, we now know that it is critically important that students be able to analyse, interrogate and question knowledge in order to compete against automation and artificial intelligence.

Our school was recently reauthorised by the IBO in April 2019 to provide the full continuum of IB programmes. This reauthorisation coupled with the full accreditation awarded by the Council of International Schools, provides third party evidence of the quality of our programmes.

My daughter was at EIS for her Preschool. She used to be very shy before moving to EIS but toward the end, she had transformed to a very confident girl who speak out for her opinions. The School gave all students opportunities to perform in front of big audience, to lead their own events, to participate in school's events. We parents were very engaging in school's activities. Everyone from teachers, staff and even school's leaders are friendly and approachable. The school listened to parents' voice and many improvements were made based on parents' suggestions. We moved our girl to a bilingual when she got into Grade 1, just because we wanted her to do much more Vietnamese which was her mother tongue. However we have joined many events of EIS ever since. My daughter loves and misses EIS so much. We will surely move her back to EIS once she finishes Primary.

It's certainly one of the best International Schools in Vietnam, where our child's are getting the IB Program starting from the Early Years until the end of High School. In addition our child can select out of a variety of foreign languages. To put our child in EIS was one of our best decision!
